Overview of Alappuzha

Alleppey is a city and a municipal area in Alleppey district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is a sea port on the Indian Ocean. Trade is carried out with the city of Cochin in the north and Thiruvananthapuram in the south through coastal inlets and canals. The main products exported from here are chilli, ginger and coconut shell.
